A PERFECT CIRCLE - THIRTEENTH STEP (Music On Vinyl Edition, Double 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl) (2LP) [Import]

Musicians came and went within the circle of A Perfect Circle. On their second album (2003), the band's founders-Tool's singer Maynard Kennan and Tool's talented guitar tech Billy Howerdel-lead the way, with key contributions by guitarists Danny Lohner (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie) and Troy Van Leeuwen (Queens of the Stone Age, Limp Bizkit, Mark Lanegan). Together, they created an intense, dark, intoxicating concoction of alternative metal, and it sure struck a chord, soaring to #2 and sending a series of intriguing tracks to rock radio. This was certified platinum back then and comes to 180-gram vinyl now: "Weak and Powerless," "The Outsider," "Blue," "The Package," "Pet," "Vanishing," "The Noose" and more. Music on Vinyl.

RMFN Notes:

"RMFN family.. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that this is my favorite album of all time. MJK & Billy Howerdel created an alternative rock masterpiece on Thirteenth Step. Each song is perfectly crafted to flow into the other in this haunting tale about addiction, self discovery, and the human condition. There are less heavy guitars than their amazing debut Mer De Nomes, but when the heavy riffs come in, they are more impactful than ever. The Package, Pet, and The Outsider have some of the band's heaviest moments, with Billy's unique guitar playing on full display. Maynard delivers at his absolute best here too, offering incredible lyrics and a vocal performance like no other. My top songs: tracks 1 - 12. YOU. NEED. THIS. ALBUM." -Chris
